The purpose of this posting is to make more people aware or remind people about the Northwest Association of Teacher Educators (NWATE) and to encourage those in our area to both attend and present their work and ideas at our annual conference.
The Northwest Association of Teacher Education represents a network of educators engaged in discussions and collaboration about teacher education in the Northwest region or the United States and Canada, with members in Alberta, Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Saskatchewan, Washington, and Oregon.
We believe our association is an ideal opportunity to get involved with other educators concerned with issues in our field. We include in-service and preservice teachers, field supervisors, teacher preparation educators, undergraduate, and graduate education students.
Join us in for our 2014 Annual Conference at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, on June 5th and 6th. The conference theme this year is “The Essentials: What Should We Be Teaching?” Our proposal deadline is Friday, April 25th. We hope to see you at our conference and will take an hour to outline some of your work that you will share with others at the conference! Click for more information about our Conference and the Call for Proposals.
We have an open and unique conference theme this year, and we hope you will consider submitting a proposal and/or, sharing the call with colleagues and school partners in our region to share in dialogue. We know this year’s conference will build on that established strength, and to better do that, we need you!
